Big news! I am now officially represented by Dream Team Talent. Dream Team is a great newer agency in the Chicago area which also produces an industry podcast and is soon spreading its wings to LA. Vilma, the agency owner, is such a delightful person and truly advocates for her talent. I can't wait to see what we're able to accomplish together in 2020 and beyond!
The Dining Room has ended (5th best selling show of all time at Oil Lamp Theater!) and now I have something fun to show you - the short student film from last year I starred in has finally been released! Check out "Meanwhile Drive" written/directed by Abdullah Azizi, below. Now also on my Film Shorts page.
Also, I just finished editing together my voiceover demo! Check it out on my Voiceover page or hit the play button below.
My next project (as I keep reminding everyone ;) ) is my wedding, but I will have a brief interlude as an emcee for Fury Theatre's March 15th fundraiser, "Bottom Shelf Theatre: Reasons Why We Drink". It's a fun night of staged readings of the worst plays we could find, and tickets include unlimited booze and apps from 7-9pm for only $30 in advance. Check it out!
Iron Horses Can't be Broken is officially on iTunes, and we're already got some great early reviews! Check it out and subscribe to get in on the meaty audio-drama podcast action. The "official" launch will be after the 3rd episode, when Burning Brigid Media really starts pushing. They're really fun, and a perfect 20 minute adventure for the daily commute. Episode 2 is now available on iTunes and at burningbrigid.com. I appear throughout this episode!
Meanwhile, I'm getting ready for my second day of shooting for Emily, a short film by Abdullah Azizi, an MFA student at Columbia College. I play the title character in this film, which explores Emily's desire to get out and change her life, even if it starts with just a little conscious optimism and a couple small steps out the door. I'll definitely share when the film is complete!
I had a couple more auditions today, and several more scheduled in the coming weeks, on top of The Dreamchild Neverists rehearsals over at Dream Theatre Company. The show is really starting to take shape - the main set construction is done, several of the puppets are near completion, and we're having way too much fun rehearsing this thing. Our General C.C. Possum might be the cutest thing on stage come March. Tickets should be available soon!
Thanks for checking in, and I hope to have more news after the results of these next auditions!!
Rehearsals have also begun for Audience Annihilated 3: The Trouble With Angels, the next installment of Dream Theatre Company's intimate horror experience just in time for Halloween. As we keep saying in rehearsal, this show is "going to ruin people". It's pretty freaking messed up, and I don't scare easy. I like to describe it as "The Strangers" meetings "Going Clear." This is a very unique experience, I definitely recommend it for Halloween thrill seekers. I'll be playing the character "Drill". Tickets are now on sale! https://www.artful.ly/store/events/7190
Soon I hope to share an webisode of #SelfieGuy that I appeared in. It's a very goofy web series, and it was a lot of fun shooting with that group. We shot a couple spots, so hope to see that soon!
Check out the links below for some past #SelfieGuy videos!
It's going to be a busy Fall and Winter with the podcast, DTC's show, and then Oil Lamp Theater's It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (I'm playing Sally Applewhite/Mary).
More updates to come!
Here's a few behind the scenes shots from my weekend project, "Kind of Crazy," a short film written by Michael Singleton, directed by Michael Tanner Flynn! Loved meeting and laughing with the crew and my costars! Thanks Keith Emroll for the photos!
Excited to announce I was recently cast as Rachelle, a supporting character, in the upcoming feature-length film, Terms, with Arsonist Pictures and directed by Mike Dobrzelecki. This is an independent "coming of age horror drama" that will begin filming in September. Excited to join the team!
