Bikini Shakespeare is back! It's a LOT colder outside this time around, but the show is just as hot ;). I'm playing Ariel, the magical spirit of the island. This is a role I've often coveted and am thrilled to be putting my spin on it. And in an interesting twist of fate, and great excuse for a drastic hair change, I'm dying my hair PLATINUM BLONDE for the role! We may me doing some colorful spray in highlights for the show, but day to day will be platinum. Whether I keep the look is up in the air, I do love being a redhead, but my roots are blonde so.....we shall see. I'm pretty pale so I fear being a little too "albino". Photos will be forthcoming, to be sure. The best part, is I'm getting the color done for FREE! Huge thank you to Michael Anthony Salon on State Street in Chicago, and Courtney who will be doing my hair. I will be a "hair model" for Courtney who is a student at the salon, and in return the whole service is free to me. If I love it, I may have to get some new headshots...
Anyway, back on track. We are in the thick of rehearsals, with the off-book date coming up in 2 days, and we open in 1 month. The cast is bigger, there are some great actors who have returned, and some spectacular new faces as well. We've got a new costumer, and lots in store. I'm excited to see how the show finally comes together over the next month.
In the meantime, continuing to audition for whatever I can and get myself out there.
