Sidebar: I actually took Jonah, my partner in crime, to IEC with strep throat symptoms, and this office is fantastic! Super modern, really nice great staff, great amenities like free wifi & coffee, and "paperless" paperwork. I definitely recommend them!
In other news, a ton of theatres are holding their season generals and various other auditions now, so I've been booking appointments like a madwoman! I'm happy to report that hard work is starting to pay off, as I can now announce I've been cast as "Sally Applewhite" AKA "Mary" in It's a Wonderful Live - The Live Radio Play at Oil Lamp Theater (check out their snazzy new website by the way)! I saw Oil Lamp's production of this show last year and fell in love with this interpretation. The live radio play aspect really brings the story to life as you watch actors perform the play for the "studio audience", complete with live foley sound effects and live commercials right out of the 1940's. I haven't done a "Christmas" show in a while, so this will be a lot of fun. Nothing like thinking about Christmas in June!! And finally, this Monday I take my very first Circus Arts class at the Actor's Gymnasium! This is my first time taking a class of this kind, but you're never too old to lose those dreams of joining the circus, right? I'm hoping to learn some fun new skills to add to my repertoire, and maybe discover something new I have a knack for that I could explore further. Not sure what to expect, but from talking to friends who have taken the class, I'll love it and have a lot of fun in the process. There's your summer update--stay tuned! <3 Comments are closed.
