A letter from Butler Alum Julie Wunderlin:
Hello all Butler Theatre Warriors! I am writing all of you because I need your help! Since moving to Chicago in October, I've begun working with Redmoon Theater as a marketing intern and assistant director. For those of you who aren't familiar with Redmoon, they are a Chicago based theater with an international reputation for wildly creative and visually stunning spectacle style theater. Redmoon has a commitment to excellent annual outdoor theater in landmark Chicago locations, such as Millenium Park, Chinatown, and Belmont Harbor. Essentially, Redmoon is the professional version of Butler Theatre, and they are amazing. We have applied for $50,000 in funding from Pepsi for this year's summer spectacle. This money will make this year's spectacle FREE! If you have enjoyed mask work with Wendy, if you love doing stage movement, if you've experienced the unique power of site specific theatre, if you've been a part of the stage movement public performances, if you are committed to bringing great public art to everyone for no charge, PLEASE TAKE 1 MINUTE and vote for us at refresheverything.com/redmoon <http://efresheverything.com/redmoon><http://efresheverything.com/redmoon> . Especially if you are thinking about moving to Chicago in the future, I cannot stress to you enough how much Redmoon's presence is essential to the Chicago Art's scene! Redmoon is a TRUE Chicago theater; cultivated in Logan Square and slowly expanding over the whole city. Redmoon is beloved for their whimsical creations, and their strong commitment to community, and the city of Chicago. Redmoon is so beloved by Chicagoans, that the Obamas invited them to perform at the White House on Halloween! So, if you are a lover of art, and a lover of FREE ART, please take the very little time it takes to vote for us. The more votes we have, the more likely we are to receive funding, and continue to bring groundbreaking, creative, free public art to the city. We need to be in the TOP TEN of all $50K proposals to win!! And after you vote, pass the link on to your family and friends, post it on your facebook or twitter, and then go back the next day and vote and vote and vote and vote!!! Also, yours truly wrote the whole proposal, so if you don't do it for Redmoon, do it for Butler Alums working at Redmoon! Thanks so much in advance for your time, your support, and your votes!! Love, Julie Wunderlin
